Wholesale wig suppliers: how to compare them before you order

Comparing wholesale wig suppliers on price alone tells you almost nothing: two suppliers can quote the same length at two different diameters, weights and cap constructions. Compare the written specification, the minimum, the sample terms and the lead time instead, and the comparison starts to mean something.

Why a price on its own is not comparable

Two quotes for an 18-inch European hair wig can describe two different products. Length is only one row of a specification that also carries the hair type, the cuticle direction, the cap construction, the lace size, the weight and the colour code. A supplier who quotes a number without those rows has not quoted a product yet, and there is nothing to compare it against.

Compare the written specification first

Ask each supplier for the same rows in writing: hair type, cuticle direction, construction, lace size, finished length, weight and colour code. Ours are published on every model page, so the comparison starts from a document rather than a sales line.

Compare minimums before you plan the budget

A minimum that applies per model changes how you spread a budget across lengths. Our wholesale minimum is 3 pieces per model, and a single piece can be ordered as a sample. Ask yours to state the minimum the same way - per model or per order - because the two split a first order very differently.

Compare lead time, and what starts the clock

Ask two separate questions: how long production takes, and how long transit takes after dispatch. Then ask what starts each clock. Ours is about 2 weeks in production, with custom colour or curl taking longer, and 10 to 12 business days to the US after dispatch.

Test one piece before you place the order

A sample tells you more about a supplier than a catalogue does. One piece is quoted at the lowest listed price for that model, with the freight at your cost, so checking the claim costs you the freight rather than the whole order.

Questions we are asked

What is the single most useful thing to compare?

The written specification. Without it a price cannot be compared to another price, because the same length can hide a different diameter, construction and weight.

How many suppliers should I compare?

Two or three are enough if you compare them against the same written rows. Comparing five on headline price alone tells you less than comparing two properly.

Can I order a sample before choosing a supplier?

Yes. A single piece is quoted at the lowest listed price for that model, with the freight at your cost. Our wholesale minimum is then 3 pieces per model.
